Family Keepsake Art, West Coast Style

Because our kitchen cupboards are being put in, it was time to paint the dining room (this makes sense to most women, doesn't it?) This is also where we homeschool usually...there and often on the couch near the woodstove), we had had a huge white board up on the wall, which had gotten a little trashed over the years (aka: written on my permanent marker by me), so it was time for that to come down. I bought a couple cute, inexpensive smaller ones to go on a different wall, and we eventually decided to create our own art to brighten the room. All it took was a canvas from the dollar store, some advice from FB friends, and some acrylic paint.

I know that you are loving the fact that your home is coming together...can't wait to see the finished kitchen. :)
The paint looks great...love the dinner area....and what a great way to decorate your wall and make memories at the same time.
