I Chose to Admire Their Creativity.

The half built kitchen is now pulled apart to install our cabinets. This is a very slow process as the Skipper is working full time building another house, and doing everyday life stuff, like coaching all 3 of the boys in hockey, which can mean being on the ice 6 times in a week. A lot of staples have been pulled out of our makeshift cupboards, and are now piled on surfaces. The boys called me downstairs today to show me their "castles", which they constructed while I was busy elsewhere...

My first feeling was one of dismay because, well, basically, I am tired and was trying to contain the clutter. My second thought, was to tell myself to chill out, that they didn't hurt anything.

My third instinct was to admire their building skills ( Little M even incorporated his dad's Bible) and to laugh at the fortresses they set up to eat their snack behind!

Oh, and of course, one of my first reactions was to grab the camera.

Well at least someone is having fun with their surroundings. :)
I do hope that you won't have to live as long as I did when things unfinished.
Hmmm...a finished kitchen would make a great Valentines gift. LOL
Thank heaven for your sweet sense of humor.

When one of my boys was at the get into everything and make messes every where stage, someone suggested I take pictures. It really helped to take the edge off :) My 3 boys make towers and castles out of everything too. Must be a boy thing.

Too fun!!!
At least they weren't throwing cereal over the walls at the "enemy"...because, you know, I might have been tempted.
