Do Not Talk To Me While I am On the Phone!
The other day, while taking a phone call, this note appeared in front of my eyes:
I shook my head no, and a couple of minutes later, I heard my youngest freaking out, which can be a regular occurence some days. His big brother stepped in and calmed him down- I could tell it was an upset cry, but not a hurt cry, so I remained on the phone... (yah, I know...good parenting...) Shortly after, my 6 year old appeared for the second time and held this up in front of my face:
At least now I know why Little M was yollering.
Now, I could get all technical with J and mention that writing notes is still distracting when I am on the phone, BUT:
A) I save them cause I think they are cute. This one cracked me up. The Skip had a good laugh when he saw it later.
B) As a homeschooling mom, I recognize that this is language arts practice- phonics, spelling, printing, etc. Works for me!

Too funny!
I don't believe I have experienced that one yet. :)
I guess when "ya gotta communicate"...you'll come up with a way.I guess they are not so much unlike their Moms. LOL
:-)
We used to write notes to my mom, it was the only acceptable way of asking questions when she was on really long conversations with her mom. :-)
My kids write notes to me, too.
I am just so there with you!!! I know those hand gestures and stomping of feet!!!!!They don't work.... as you know!
This post made me giggle long.... Thanx!!!
Oh! My kids know better... but I get these too.
Also their made up sign language and horrible attempts at silent communication....
but I too find them amusing, so they get a quick reminder and then I save them and treasure them too :)
I love to save notes from my kids too. Well, they are more drawings then words, but still so personal and endearing. My daughter told me this morning she had been crying, when I asked what about she said: I finished that movie, and I cried at three parts. (Hotel for Dogs) This is the first time she has cried from something that did not effect her personally and all I could think was WOW, she is becoming aware of things out side herself. (YEAH!)
Which brings me to the Olympics, you had commented on my blog about the hardships they have brought to your province, We don't hear much about that and I am curious to know. My Husband said something about one of the Ski Jump places being in forclosure. I just can't fathom HOW anyone can spend money on something when they don't have the money to spend. (Governments mostly) because you and I don't go out and buy groceries and clothes if the bank account says $0, so how can Government or the Olympics do this? I am againest all the "One upmanship on the buildings and areas, but I have to say it's the SPORT that I enjoy. The being the best at what you do and watching the very best compete.
I'd love to hear more: parkercox74@hotmail.com
Oh that is too cute! Isn't it funny how everyone needs to talk when you are on the phone?!
sign language works around here sometimes, but those notes are adorable!
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a great day!
