It is our Thanksgiving tomorrow. We have it earlier than my friends to the south as we celebrate the harvest and the bounty that comes with it, which comes a bit earlier here up north. We had a big dinner tonight with all the family, so that those who live in the Big City can fight the ferry traffic to get back tonight, before they are overloaded tomorrow. (which is when I get to face them on the way to taking my daughter to the airport). Once again, our tummies are full of turkey and all the trimmings! So much has changed here in the last few months. Tomorrow my daughter heads back to her dad's. We will see her again in 2 1/2 months, at Christmas time. It has been 4 days of enjoying being with her, some discussions, times of just watching her- getting my fill of seeing her while she is here, entertaining teens again (I missed all her friends!), sleep overs, giggles, etc, etc. What a bitter sweet time. This morning in church I was so thankful to the Lord that I could sing (or cry through) Blessed Be Your Name. "You give and takes away, You gives and take away. My heart will truly say, Lord blessed be Your Name. I can't tell you what a comfort it is to rest in those words!
On to lighter topics: After 5 years, we are getting a proper kitchen! We signed the contract on Saturday, and it shouldn't take too long as all they are doing is cutting the cupboards- we are installing it all. Yippee! Now I can hide the clutter a little better!

it was so cool reading your description of just soaking in your sweet girl. makes me wanna go squeeze and stare at my boys! glad you had such a wonderful holiday and if christmas is coming as fast for you as it is around here...she'll be back before you know it!
was just saying a prayer for you and your girlie. hope the time between now and then is mercifully short.
I am so glad you got some time with your girl.....I look forward to seeing Michael soon.
It is always so nice to have everyone back together again under our wings. Is she liking her time with her Dad?
And how exciting about your kitchen! I lived with one cabinet for so long that when my Dad finally gave me three more...I though I was living in the lap of luxury. :)
Enjoy your new cabinets...how fun.
