Click out of Google Reader and Come Reminisce with Me!

As I mentioned in my last post, I was waiting to get our computer fixed before participating in Sara's Mix Tape Monday. Hope she doesn't mind that I am doing this 3 days late, but I love anything to do with musical memories from my younger years. It's a hoot to think back to most of those times. The theme this week was dance music. A few different selections came to mind, with Footloose being a major fave, but Linda beat me to the punch on that one. The funny thing is that my 12 year old daughter came home from her song and dance class last week RAVING about this great, upbeat, fast song called Footloose. She was trying to remember the words when I interrupted and proceeded to belt them out. I think she was impressed with my memory, if not my rendition of it.

This was the next one that came to mind, but I couldn't embed it. I really have no idea what the lyrics mean, so if it is something naughty, I plead ignorance... We used this past summer on my women's soccer trip to get us pumped up before games. How cool were we- a bunch of 30 something mama's driving around town with their 80's tunes cranked- ha- it was FUN though:

Whenever I heard the first line of this song, I was immediately on my feet, dancing up a clumsy storm- it must have been something to watch..but I lurved it :

And what's not to like about this hot chick letting loose with her friends on the dance floor!

I will have you know that my striped purple/gray shirt had a matching long gray skirt with an elastized, drop waist skirt that I wore it tucked in to. I finished off the look with slouch socks and black dress flats. Are you coveting it yet?
