Mix Tape Monday: Head Banger Edition.
Sara is bringing out the inner rocker in us mamas today. Is it just wrong that the opening of this song gives me the chills??? Oh well, won't analyze that one to death- I have some bigger issues going on, which is why Living On a Prayer is fitting right now! I have to confess that I don't know what the message of the song is all about, but I definitely think that the name alone rings true! On Saturday morning I caused much damage to our home by forgetting to turn OFF the tub. (I may fill you in more on this with pictures if you would like to sympathize with me and say things to make me feel like less of a LOSER!) Until then, let's just say we are keeping things in perspective and are extremely grateful for insurance! Now, with NO further ado, I give you my ex boyfriend, oops, I mean, Bon Jovi:

when we moved to oklahoma, we lived in an apartment for a year or so. the guy upstairs overflowed the tub...TWICE. the first time he was drunk. scary. but the interesting part was waking up in the middle of the night from the sound of water POURING from the ceiling in OUR bathroom. very disturbing.
my heart does go out to you sweet friend. call it mommy brain w/ all the stuff on our minds and little ones wanting our attention. hope the end of this story has a wonderfully happy ending!
Oh how I loved Jon! I remember borrowing my sister's Bon Jovi VHS for a slumber party. There was a scene of him slipping some girl the tongue, we played that back like 20 times repulsed and intrigued all at the same time. The minds of a fifth-grader...scary.
Oh, the tub experience sounds like a story!! Hope there's no permanent damage! Have a great week;)

Girl I am so sorry!
And yes, thank heaven for insurance. The good thing is that all that money you have been giving them over the years....you'll be getting it back. ;)
Hope that was a room you wanted to have renovated. Ummm, but don't mention that to the insurance company. :)
I had a friend who flooded her house when her child went to get a drink from the fridge and the lever wouldn't close and instead of calling out to his mom, he got in the car and didn't tell anyone. When they got back the floor was flooded and going into the basement. She sold her sons drum set and every video game he had to help pay for it.
LOVE Bon Jovi. Linda and I were talking about how we never "listened" to the lyrics growing up but yeah now OMGoodness some of the things in those songs!!!!
