Ramblings of a Teenage Drama Queen.

"10:45 pm, Sunday, March 20/88 ( I was 13 years old)

Dearest Diary,

I watched Part 2 of Anne of Green Gables, the Sequel. Those movies are my favourites. I would have loved to have lived then & been a friend of Anne's. We would have been true "kindred spirits". I love old fashioned things so. I'm an extreme romancist. I love lace & lily & pearls, gabled farmhouses & tinkling brooks, serene lakes with quaint bridges, swishing skirts & feathered hats, noble horses & gentlemanly nods. OH, I could go on and on, but I do have to get my rest..."

It is official, apparently, I have always been weird... and there's more, but I will leave you with that excerpt for now. I think Josh wondered if I would ever stop belly laughing and snorting when I read this to him the other night.

He doesn't know how lucky he is, being married to an extreme romancist and all!

If I have any lurkers, I think, considering my willingness to show such a silly side of me, -that a comment would be in order??? :)

Hey, Ruth just got the first two books in the set for Christmas. I hope she loves them. I actually never read them. Maybe a movie would help...
I know that Anne is a redhead with spunk. That describes you, my friend. But, I can only hop[e it will touch the heart of my spunky redhead. Hmm, maybe that is what I will end my vaction reading...
By the way, you hooked me a long time ago with the boots and the freckle song. This post just adds to my admiration. :)

Goodness you are brave!
I didn't start journaling until I was in high school and even then it was very sporadic. Which is probably a good thing because I look back on those words and just think that that girl needed to get a life. :)

I love your words....I used to always think I had been born a hundred years to late. :) Guess that makes me a romantic too!

I didn't keep a diary when I was 13. Who knows what I would have said!

I threw my diary out from that age. WAY too embarrassing! Something about hating my all boys ... You're awesome for putting this on here!

Too funny! I was an Anne fan as well, wishing for red hair and a bosom friend. You were such a great writer for 13, my diaries were just lists of boys I loved and the names of my future children, Cinder Ella and Sheena.

you totally could have stolen this from my diary... in fact, DID YOU?
