Blessings

Today is my 35th bd- this is the first one that feels a bit painful- emotionally because I am crawling up to 4o, and physically, from all the "rollercizing" I have been doing while painting the kids rooms! I was thinking that I should vow to do something constructive this year, like not complain or something, but I am too tired to do that, and it is too hard- oops, never mind...ha ha.

Many, many of you are anxiously awaiting a glimpse of my curtain panels. Alas, you must wait till tomorrow, when we will be ready for the big reveals- or ready enough anyways. The Skipper is looking for decent priced beds today to replace the broken junky ones the kids were on. I need to hang stuff on walls, etc. He has bent over backwards this week to do some extras on top of all the work he already is doing- he is building shelves for the kids and putting trim into their rooms. Today, he is in Vancouver picking up his little sister who is coming to stay for 2 weeks.

I had a lovely bd breakfast with my parents and gramma this morning, and my sweet girlfriends took me out for dinner last night. As I have been so busy with house projects, the state of my house has declined into clutter, dust, and laundry piles, so that is what I am busy with today. My sis felt sorry for me cleaning away on my bd, with my husband and 2 older kids gone, so she came and vacuumed our basement for me and a girlfriend showed up on my doorstep with a pot of flowers and a big homemade chocolate cake to have with when the Skip and sil get here tonight. I was moved to tears and thinking, "Don't feel sorry for me, I feel so blessed to have such lovely people in my life!!!" So, even though I am on my knees cleaning puddles off the bathroom floor, I am feeling content. My cup runneth over!

Another thing- I never thought I would wake up on my 35th bd to two big red zits on my nose. Seriously, what is that about???

35 was harder for me than 40. That is between you and me because on record I am 29 or 32 depending on which child you ask :)
Happy Birthday!
And the adult breakouts - what Emily said - it's WRONG!

I was going to come out there today (we were at the dentist anyway, so we were already halfway to your place) but I didn't because I knew you were cleaning and thought you wouldn't have time to visit and still get your cleaning done. Hmmm, where have I heard that before?
ANyhoo- happy birthday! I enjoyed our girls dinner last night even of you were at the opposite end of the table!

Hey, I found 35 to hard. It was like I couldn't be too young to know better anymore. :)
I am glad you have had so many blessings for your special day.

35???? Ha...your still younger than me and that's all that counts. oh, to be 35 again. I sound like I'm ancient, I'm not, but I would like the clock to stop marching on. I'll hold at the age I'm at and be quite happy.

My kids just told me that a recent visitor to our home, age 8, a boy, saw my iPod in it's charger on the counter and said,"Your mom's too old to have one of those." I'm not too old for an iPod, I'm not, I'm not, I'm not!!!

Oh, and Happy Birthday!

Happy, Happy Birthday, JANE!!!!

30's are the new 20's, right? So you're really only 25...hence the zits. :D

Cheer up! Your age is simply the number of times the planet has circled the sun. I go by Mars years now. I'm 24 years old! www.exploratorium.edu/ronh/age/index.html

Happy Birthday to you even if I am a little late!
Don't worry I think it gets easier as you get older. ;)
I'll be hitting the big 43 next month. Really it is not a bad thing.
One of our kids told me that I look 34 this week...I can always hope that means I am looking younger.
Enjoy your visit!

Don't even joke about acne in your 30s -- I'm sitting here with three and I'm 31! Oh, the cruel injustice!!!
