Are You Sitting Down?

Today a miracle occured in my home. I sewed three curtain panels. It only took about an hour (if I minus interruptions to cut banana bread for the littles, answer the phone, etc.) I got really cocky after the first panel and talked on the phone while operating the sewing machine. I was a smug little suzy homemaker, I tell you. And don't comment on how you love sewing all your quilts and evening gowns or dye your own fabric after you spun it from the wool of your pet sheep Delilah, ok?!! I am a gr 8 textiles failure- so what if I sewed my cuff to my collar, MAYBE I wanted it that way, Ms. Home Ec Teacher! Not only did I accomplish my tremendous curtain sewing feat, but I cooked, baked, painted one room and edged another, shopped, and played soccer, just to name a few things. I am on a tight schedule to organize, redecorate, make freezer dinners, and clean for my 18 year old SIL, who is arriving on Wednesday (which just happens to be my 35th bd), plus I also want the house ship shape before I go away to a soccer tournament over the long weekend.

And when you're done at the Giggles home, just mosey on over here to the Denim household. We could use some paint. *LOL*

I loved the post. I got quite the chuckle....my favorite textile to use to make curtains are flat bed sheets. :-) So....I marvel at your diva-ness.

Hail to the queen.

Happy birthday, too. It's nice to have a friend who's the same age. :-)

You have me beat any day!
I did the whole sewing class and decided that it was just too tedious.
Sew....where are the pictures? ;) Pardon the pun.
I think that it is great that you can be a super Mom...I think I need some lessons.
When we get in our next home maybe you can give lessons. The camper came with curtains..but I am sure our new home will need some.
Have fun with your visit and be careful on your long weekend.

Well, Happy Birthday!

It always feels good to accomplish something. I am off to try to accomplish a nursing cover with no pattern and a piece of material that I think will work.
I am not a diva, just crazy!
