I Need Back Up.

Our precocious 5 year old has been giving me a run for my money while his dad is away! He ate almost everyone else's Easter candy, has been sneaking chocolate chips out of the fridge, and has been using every toilet talk word that he has at his disposal. He is one tough cookie to keep in line and guide and I feel like I have met my match these past few days. So...when I realized that he had climbed into bed with his 2 year old brother during nap time and was reading him Bible stories, my heart went all sappy. I listened to him very sweetly and emphatically explain to his brother that God loves him and here in the middle is the cross where Jesus died so that we could go to heaven. It was fabulous to have my sweet boy back and then I heard the page turn and he announced in a very deep voice "Chapter Fart-teen-poo is next!" They then went on to talk about the angels singing in the sky as I silently laughed and sighed at the same time. Such is the life of a mom with boys. ( to be honest, I think they are pretty cool and fascinating).

Oh BOY, do I know what you're talking about!!
I kinda like it too, but I am weird like that. Apparently, the crazy full-boar life suits me better than the laid back, restful, sweet one...LOL!

such a great description of parenting... highs, lows, sighs, all totally worth it

...and exhausting!

OH BOY, the stories we could share!! What is it with body parts and noises anyways? Here's to loving these future M-E-N and hoping our future daughters-in-law love us no matter what!

I wish I could tell you they grow out of it...sadly they don't.

But they do learn that ladies don't like gross talk and do it only with the men. (most of the time :o)

I don't know whether to laugh or cry! That phone was an old one that we don't use and they play with. Man, I wish you were right! I had my hopes up on that one. Now I have to sit here and laugh at myself. Thanks for the encouragement!

Oh my gosh Jane. J is the funniest kid I know. Everything he says or does cracks me up. Especially the dinner table comments about the... what was it... the birdfeeders? no no the bird feeders...the breastfeeders! Gotta love that boy!
