Natasha Bedingfield - Freckles, part 2

Ok, I just found my new favorite song!

hum, hum, hum...hum, hum)

I used to care so much about what others think about,

I almost didnt have a thought of my own.

The slightest remark would make me

embark on the journeyOf self-doubt,

but that was a while ago .

This girl has got stronger -

and if I knew then what I know now,

I would've told myself don't worry any longer - it's ok...

(refrain):

Cuz a face without freckles is like the sky without the stars.

Why waste a second, not loving who you are?

Those little imperfections make you

beautiful, loveable, valuable -They show your personality -

inside your heart,

Reflecting who you are

Sing with the song of Natasha Bedingfield, Freckles lyrics!

Whoa ooh whoa ooh whoa

I wondered if I could trade my body

with somebody else in magazines -

with the whole world full at my feet

I felt unworthy and would blame my failures

on the uglinessI could see,

when the mirror looked at me

sometimes I still feel like that little girl

who doesn't belong in her own world ....

I reminded myself that -

(refrain:)

A face without freckles is like

the sky without the stars.

Why waste a second,

not loving who you are?

Those little imperfections make you

beautiful, loveable, valuable -

They show your personality -

inside your heart,Reflecting who you are

Those aren't freckles, they are beauty marks. Or- as Macy would call them, chicken pox! Yeah, she calls zits chicken pox too. DOn't ask me how I know that.

My mom used to tell me they were angel kisses. Some angel really loved me! I have had lots of kids ask me if I have the chicken pox- it makes me smile as they are just being naturally curious. When adults make rude comments, well, that's another story...

What's funny -- or maybe not... I dunno..

I've always thought you lovely.
When i look at you (in pictures)- I pretty much notice your eyes -- and your red hair. And you're mostly always smiling in your pictures...

and the freckles just are part of you. You're lovely.

So there.

chica, you are so beautiful...inside and out. I can't even imagine thinking of your freckles as 'imperfections'- more like 'decorations'- adornments from a Father who loves you very much ;)

I've NEVER heard that song. yes, apparently, I live under a rock. A rather large, heavy one. hee hee

ADULTS make comments about your freckles? Are you kidding me?!! Well...at least YOU don't have the lovely little chin hairs that pregnancy and hormonal imbalances etc have brought to me. *GROAN* I'd take freckles over facial hair ANY day.

...now I can just see it, people running over to my blog to see the "bearded lady". promise, it's not THAT bad. yet. *laughing*

See now. How's THAT for keeping it real? *wink*

I have freckles, too!

I really think we are kindred spirits, Half Moon Girl!!

Love the new song by Beddington, too. Good message to girls and women today.
