"Mischief is your middle name, but your first is friend. You are quite the prankster that loves to make other people laugh."
Today I am more like a snappy dragon, make that a snappy, fire breathing dragon! I have one of those splitting headaches that doesn't mix very well with rambunctious little boys. Our 8 year old has been shrieking and hollering while playing in the room next to me on and off for the last hour. After repeatedly asking him to quiet down, I finally stomped in and roared really loud right beside him. He had his back to me and was not expecting it. (now when I say I roared, I mean that I literally ROARED, as I was copying the noise he was currently harassing Little M with). He spun around and fell back on his bed, eyes wide. I didn't even have to explain, he got it immediately and simply said "Sorry Mom." I am laughing right now, thinking of the expression on his face. I am SO bad! Of course, he hasn't exactly been tiptoeing around since then, so when I saw the above quiz on Karen's blog, I thought that maybe it would be a nice escape for a moment. I am just going to pretend that I am a jaunty little snapdragon, out in my summer garden, basking in the warm rays and dancing in the sea breeze!

Maybe something s in the air because my son has been driving me crazy this afternoon. My jaw is tight and I would like to pinch his head off.
Did the roaring help?
I'd be willing to try it--although I might wake up Paw Paw who went to bed at 7:30. I think I could raise the roof at this point.
No Sharon, roaring only hurt my head and throat. It was marginally effective on the noise level, but made me smile inside thinking of K's reaction!
That was fun!! :) I'm a daffodil... here is my favorite line, "you are more than capable of making yourself seen and heard." :)
ROFLOL! That's the way to do it! Teach by EXAMPLE..LOL!
My kids have been wound pretty tight for the last few days too and it has made me a little "snappy" as well. :D
We all have our snappy dragon moments. I hope you're feeling better soon.
*laughing* I wish you had had your camera aimed and ready to document the look on his face upon receiving this new form of parental authority. ;)
