My sister Amy called today. K picked up the phone, and the conversation went like this:
Amy: " Hi K, is your mom there?"
K: "Uhhhh, yeaaaah, BUT she is just starting to give A. a lecture right now."
Amy: "Do you want to tell her that I am on the phone, or should I just call back?"
K "Uh, it can sometimes take a while."
Amy: "How long do you think it will take this time?"
K: "I don't know, but sometimes she can get up to half an hour."
Amy got much amusement out of retelling the story to me. FYI, my "lecture" only lasted about 30 seconds- they must just seem lengthy to an 8 year old.

Glad it was just your sister in law.
Mine might have lasted just 30 seconds but as soon as something else occurred to me--it would start all over again.
Kids are so naturally hilarious. Thank goodness it was a good friend! :)
