This brings me to another cleaning question. In this post, I talked about how 3 friends and I are having cleaning parties. We cleaned all the walls on our main floor (we have a big house, and 4 kids, so I never get them all clean myself). Anyways, it looked great. Now go here and look at that face under the blond mop of hair. ok, go look. Now, picture that mischievious imp, and a hot pink marker...

Yes, on about 6 walls, plus french doors. Lovely scribbly toddler drawings. Did I get mad. No. This is age appropriate and I KNEW it was too quiet!!! ( I was doing schoolwork with my daughter.) It was a washable marker, but it is not coming completely off. Any suggestions? Magic eraser didn't work by the way. And I am not going to repaint, so don't suggest that!
Thanks for reading my ramblings. I will post something brainy one day...

Well, Magic Eraser is my old standby, so I'm not sure what to tell ya. I used baking soda on black Sharpie marker on the side of our bathtub and it worked, but that might be too abrasive for a painted wall. You could try it on a small section of the wall, maybe...
MAGIC ERASER! Let me know if it works!
Girl I am so sorry! Beautiful walls and no stain---don't tell your friends.
No suggestions.
Julia is now nine--past the wall decorating stage. But, the last time she did it, it was a black permanent marker and she doesn't do things small either.
My solution? I rearranged the furniture. :)
Don't think that will help you out.
I posted a video you might want to show you oldest. It is great. I showed it to Julia although i had to explain a few things.
I'm with Gayle on the Magic Eraser thing...I have 4 kids who are ages 10 down to 3, and this thing has worked wonders in my home!
I followed you here from Grace for Gayle's site...I am a Gayle, too!
Nice to meet ya!
Ammonia. It's what the Sharpie and Kiwi (shoe polish) people will tell you. It works slow, but it works.
Goo Gone! It's like magic!
Good luck, friend. Way to not get mad!
Cindy, you didn't see me when dd(age 11) decided to draw a zombie face on her brother(age 8)while she was supposed to be doing a math test. This after many fine lectures on staying on task and acting her age. The 2 littles took one look at that and ran for the felts! I was not as calm.
If the Ammonia doesn't work -- try Scrubbing Bubbles by Dow. I've had it work before - but I can't remember my circumstances...I'm pretty sure I've had it get marker off the table.
Good luck!
