week 7

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Well, last week I showed you an update on my Levi's challenge- not a lot of visible change, but some. (I actually look fitter than I am in those pics by the way. I am not really overweight or anything, but I can't fit my old clothes from before my last babe. I am trying to get rid of hip and tummy pudge.) When I started trying to fit those, the button was 7 inches from the hole. I measured last night and it is now 5 inches away. Some progress, but I want to step it up. I need to get strict with the sugar again, and I think I will try not to eat too much unnecessary carbs for the next two weeks. (open faced sandwiches, etc). Everything in moderation and lots of water! To see how others are doing visit Tales From the Scales.

I have to admit that when I saw your jeans challenge to yourself, I was put off because I have not been able to fit into jeans in a decade. But that's my problem.

One thing I know is that losing ten pounds for someone who is not obese is as hard as losing 100 for a person over 250 lbs. It comes off slower and it takes just as much work.

Have you tried lifting some dumbbell type weights to try to tone up and strengthen your abs and your obliques? Any muscle you build is money in the bank where your metabolism is concerned.

Great job, I can't wait to see where you are next week!

You are doing a GREAT job. Just remember, sometimes having babies does change our bodies a bit in irreversible ways. To me, you do look GREAT now! :-) Keep making healthy choices.

I have not posted a weight loss post today. :(
I am maintaining.
Too much sugar..I don't know why I am being drawn to it all of a sudden. Usually it is just carbs.
Way to go on the inches.
I agree you seem to be in pretty good shape but I know you want to find the old one.
You keep going----five inches is not much.
Honestly I am afraid to loose much before the summer is over. My clothes fit just right or are slightly loose--can't afford to buy any more for this summer.
So I think I will try to maintain or just loose a few until it starts to cool again.

2 inches is a lot to lose! That is great. Sometimes having babies changes your body in ways that you can't undo. Just keep that in mind and don't get frustrated when you don't see results as quickly as you'd like to.

I remember being back to prebaby weight and my clothes still too tight around the waist. Frustrating!

Way to go, you! Two inches is quite a bit! That's kind of where I"m at too, right now. Not technically overweight, but I need to work on my tummy and hip flab. I'm at the top end of my healthy weight range. I would prefer to be near the lower end. :-) Anyways, I need to get strict about carbs and sugar too, so thanks for the reminder and challenge.
