I am so thankful that I have the Lord to help me through awkward situations. I just talked to my ex regarding boy-girl issues with our daughter when she visits, as well as some other things I was concerned about. I prayed beforehand and we had a great conversation- even had some laughs about how our daughter is so messy. I said that there was hope, as I used to be messy too. He laughed and said he remembered how my room used to look. I told him he didn't stick around long enough to see how much tidier I became in my later 20's. Touchee!
Anyhoo, I was even able to bring up a money matter that he still hasn't squared up on with me. We were able to discuss it without tension and ended the conversation well. Thank you God. It isn't that we really fight anymore- he just usually doesn't take me seriously, and I think that he can be a big doofus sometimes!
God totally promises to provide all our needs- It works so much better when I remember that!

I love this verse in 2 Chronicles when dealing with problems:
"Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you." 2 Chronicle 20:17
I love those reminders of God's faithfulness to hear us!
