I love a chewy chocolate chip cookie. I feel better about feeding these to my kids ( and eating too many myself!) as they are made with ww flour. They are really yummy! I cut down the sugar by 1/2 cup when I made them, and will do so in the recipe below. This is a single recipe, though I always double my cookie recipes.
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup butter or marg
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups choc chips
1. Heat oven to 375 F
2. Mix sugars, butter, vanilla, and egg in large bowl. Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop onto cookie sheet.
3. Bake 8 to 10 mins or until light brown.
4. Now eat about three for yourself while you tell the kids to wait till the cookies cool down. Then sample one cooled to see how that tastes too. Then try moving them into the fridge so you won't eat anymore. When that doesn't work, you could try freezing them as long as you don't like frozen choc chip cookies as much as I do!
