Soccer Mama

I am getting free time this weekend. It doesn't happen very often, mostly because most things I do are child-friendly and I end up taking all 4 or at least one or two of the kids. I am playing in my year end soccer tournament- 4 games tomorrow and probably 3 on Sunday. It is great exercise and keeps me humble, seeing as I can not run as fast as I used to. My coach, also my dear bro in law, has taught us a new move using me as a dumby decoy. I won't explain it all, but it is under the presumption that I would never be able to actually kick the ball as far as the net, so I am the decoy while some one else runs in to actually shoot. Oh well, I am not a young hot shot anymore ( not that I ever was, but at least I could run faster and my shorts were baggier). I shouldn't be so hard on myself- I am working on my fitness now that I am done having babies and I do score once in a while.

Because multi-tasking is my middle name I think that between games I will jaunt over to the nursery down the road from Coffee Mom and find some plants for our landscaping projects.

Good for you! I played co-ed softball on our church league, until I threw out my shoulder last summer...

Have fun!

Dear Red Hot,
That is a lovely sweater you're wearing in your new picture. Did you knit it yourself? You've got talent and great style!
