Pssst.....
I need your help. I am leading open session for the first time for our Sunday School this week. I need some suggestions on how to make it engaging and meaningful for a group on children ages 2-12. The room is very full and crowded, and the older kids often are reluctant to get involved in action songs and worship. We usually do a birthday/new visitor prize box, prayer, a couple memory verses, some Group songs with the music videos to accompany them, a short Veggie Tale clip, and other songs as well. Any ideas on some other activities or some fun songs that really involve the kids???? I know the other teachers who lead would appreciate some fresh ideas as well. :)

I used to do childrens church at our church back in La. I loved doing object lesson....and i could keep children from the age of 2 to 13 quiet for at least 10 to 15 minutes.
I am not much on singing...although we have some great songs we use in summer camp.
Also....don't know if ya'll do much teaching but flannel graphs are a great way to make sure the children are learning some of the amazing stories in the Bible.
Betty Luken has an amazing set of flannel graphs that we have been using for years.
