Anyways, sidetracked by one of my favourite subjects again...
This is what I was mentally chewing on today...something our pastor said. I think it was a quote from someone else, but I wasn't quick enough to get that in my notes.
"SELFISHNESS IS THE ROOT OF INAPPROPRIATE ANGER."
We are going through Genesis right now, chapter 28 today. He was talking about how Cain seemed to be an angry person, one who held onto grudges and resentment -even going so far as to purposefully marry women that his parents didn't approve us in order to get back at them. The pastor than challenged us with the above quote...I thought it was a pretty accurate one. Nope, I am not going to make any witty and insightful statements here other than to say that I have seen angry people in action, resentful people in action, even been one myself a time or two (or three, or four...) and I think that self focus is often the root of things derailing. This statement just really jumped out at me today...what do you think of it? Hit me with your thoughts!

what do i think of it? *sigh*...that i must be a very angry person. ☺ good thoughts! now pass the chocolate!
Fine.
Darn.
Hmph.
I already knew I was selfish...you didn't have to rub it in. *takes chocolate from Growin'*
*plunks down on couch to pout*
I prefer to focus on the chocolate than selfishness and anger. How is your chocolate different way up north than it is down here? Seriously? I mean, don't you have the same brands? I know, I know, you have Smarties or something like that, which is chocolate there and a tart candy here. But what else? Hmph, I officially take offense at the whole notion that Canadians might have better chocolate than Americans. I think you need to send me a large sample so I can do a side by side comparison. :-)
Oh, and your pastor's statement was way too true.
