Why You Should Look in A Full Length Mirror Every Morning.

I am not a slob by any means, but I have become pretty low maintenance. Yesterday, I got up, reached in the clean laundry basket and thought, "Oh, I like this t- shirt. And oh, here's that green hoody, and oh, there's my favourite sweater. " And then I put them all on. I didn't have any pants clean, so I dug out a jean skirt. Because I had a skirt on, I had to find some tights. My latest hair cut hasn't been working for me at all, so I jammed a hat on my head when it was time to go to town, and added my favourite pair of boots, as it was raining.

Here's the result:

"Hello, my name is Jane, I am badly co ordinated and am about 3 feet high."
(btw, there is a shadow behind my hat- it isn't as huge as it looks.)

I knew I wasn't high fashion when I left the house, but realized I had gone a little far when visiting my ailing sister. She very nicely, but slightly cheekily asked me if I had one of my kids sports day T shirts on under everything else. Later in the day, my daughter took a pic of me and I laughed and grimaced when I saw it. "I don't think I will be wearing this outfit again!" I exclaimed. She helpfully added, " I wouldn't either." Ha!

Now I am by no means a fashionesta...but unless you were going for the grunge look....ya might not want to wear the assortment all together.:)
I am really a comfort girl...and that is why I rarely update my wardrobe with things that wouldn't be worn everyday. Hmmm, maybe I should go and get that mirror out of storage. :) We have two mirrors in the camper that are both neck high....so I usually let the look on Keith's and Julia's face let me know if all is well.
I do hope I can trust them. ;)
Thanks for the laugh.

It's really not fair. A teenager could pull that look off easy. Whe can't we?

Love your boots. Mine are black with red cherries.

I think you should continue with such attire...you may end up on What Not to Wear (do you get that show in Canada...or some equivalent considering here in the States, we often steal English shows and just change the name...). ;)

I think you look quite "special" he he he. Actually, I love the boots, the skirt, the hat... just not all together. I think you are awesome for posting this fashion mishap. I like fashion... but I too have had my days were my husband says "what on EARTH are you WEARING?" ~K

I really liked the boots, tights and skirt...maybe its just the comfy and layered shirts and hat that make you look frumpy. Oh well, some women say I just want to be comfortable...but how can you be when you feel people are looking at you going 'how hard is it to throw on a nice shirt instead of 3 frumpy ones?' I don't feel comfortable with stares!
