*most of the Christmas shopping. I need a few more stocking stuffers. I ate my husband's little box of chocolates this afternoon. Wasn't my fault...it was snowing...I had a hot tea and a good book....and they called to me...from the back of the closet, buried under a spare duvet...
* my balloon ablation and D&C- went smoothly. Took a while to get pain under control in recovery, and again, anesthetic- not my friend. My hubby had me back at ER later- I walked in with my blue tote under one arm, and the nurse said "nice barf bucket!" I later proved why I needed one that size while I was waiting for my catheter.... Now that you have too much info..let's move on... Oh, shout out to my Skipper for being so sweet and nice to me while I was recovering. He had my back while I was using my tote in the hospital parking lot, and I was wondering if he was going to toss his cookies too.
* played in snow, attempted a snowman, took lots of great pics of wet, rosy, laughing faces as they came flying down the hill on slippery sleds...
* baked gingerbread men with littles. J and I have been doing a unit around The Gingerbread Baby. If you have preschool to gr 3, go check out the author, Jan Brett's website for lots and lots of activities. Today, while I was making a big deal about watching to make sure the gingerbread did not jump out of the oven and escape us, Jake loudly and patiently informed me, "You know, MOM, that that is a fairy tale. And fairy tales AREN'T real!!!" poo. says who, you little realist?!
* cuddled up and watched the Grinch Who Stole Christmas- my favourite. I love to hear the kids enjoying it too.
* packed up the two biggest and sent them off to their dad's for 2 weeks. Had an early Christmas. Daughter got a digital camera to capture all the special moments (it wasn't that expensive, so I hope it lasts!), and son got a big lego castle set (got it for 1/2 price!)with tons of little figurines, which my boys just love! It is now all stacked up on my dresser for safe keeping while he is away. I already caught Little M sneaking around with part of it and he was incensed when I took it away "Mom, you need to say sorry!" What can I say, he's SO 3.
To do:
* replace hubby's stocking chocolate. Buy a kind I don't like. Ok, maybe I should just not buy him chocolate. He likes Nibs. I will go with that.
* buy coffee. We are getting the most snow we have had in 12 years. Even though I live in Canada, we don't get much snow in my area. Yes, that means I am Canadian and DO NOT live in an igloo. Anyways, back to the coffee. I stocked up on everything EXCEPT my husband's life blood. We need to get some before there is bloodshed.
* oh heck, I will get some coconut while I am at it for another round of Nanaimo Bars. YOU MUST try some, and they must be homemade. Some of you wanted to know what custard powder was: I don't know exactly what it is, but if you mix it with butter and icing sugar, and sandwich it between a layer of chocolate and a layer of butter, graham wafer crumbs, melted chocolate, and coconut, it tasted darned good! While I was nauseous this week, I figured that it was time to get back to only eating when hungry. I KNOW, what a concept! Anyways, it doesn't mean I can't enjoy my favourite Christmas treat.
Oops, I had more to this post, but somehow it didn't save. grrrrr. I am going to go against my norm, and just end it here then. I could spend another half hour rewriting, or I could go join my hubby on the couch.... see ya;)

I am so glad that your procedure went well....I know you are glad to have it over with.
I know you will be missing your older two...I will be missing one too...so I will try and remember you in prayer while I am thinking of him. :)
And you just crack me up with the chocolate stocking robbing. Sounds like something I would do.
And this morning while I reached into the cabinet to find the coffee can empty...:o I did have a moment of panic. Then I remembered the container I had thrown in the back seat after running into the store for a few things. So no, I don't normally carry coffee around in my back seat....but it was nice to find something back there other than stale fries. :)
SOOOOO...don't forget the coffee!
Love ya girl
