What is White, Red, and Spotted All Over?
While retelling the story of the 1 thankful leper at VBS today, I told the kids that people with leprosy have sore skin and also have spots on them. I could see their little minds processing this information as they gaze upon my freckled self. With a smile I explained that I did NOT have leprosy. That is when I was interrupted by a well meaning little 5 year old girl, who confidently announced that she already knew that, and that my spots were the chicken pox- most of her little classmates nodded their heads in agreement. I appreciate that they still didn't mind hanging out with me, even when they thought I was contagious. Sweet little things.

LOL I burst out at "freckles". I love to teach the little ones. There is always someone to give a good chuckle, often at my expense. :)
the thing is that they are so open and loving, and pure in heart, you can see why Jesus wanted to hang out with them.
We are doing Bible school this week too. I have control, yah right, of the preschool group. I love VBS, and hope I can at least give them a small sense of how much fun it is to love God.
That is too funny!
At least you have a beautiful complexion and did not have other things to explain. ;)
Kids can be so sweet!?!
We are in the process of getting ready for our conference at the end of the summer in N.C. Lots to do so I am afraid I am a little slacking in the blogging world. I pray that things calm down soon so that I can resume a "normal" life. Ha! Ha!
"10 went home & 1 came back"...remember that song? so hey, at least they didn't say they were zits!
Yes...ya gotta love em'
count me in on the chicken pox club! If mine were a little darker, you'd really be able to see that I'm covered as well!
I would take freckles any day over this wretched complexion of mine...:(
I love your freckles, they make you, you!
I love freckles... and I WISH they were contagious (did I spell that right?)
Yeah, my daughter is 12. Suddenly this last year she just started looking like a teen. Hate that. ~K
That is so cute! I love the little ones, yes I do. And freckles, I love them, too.
Thanks for visiting my blog today. Nice to see you there. :-)
Oh my goodness!! Too sweet. Sometimes we just get to shake our heads and grin!

kids are so shockingly accepting. when I was a preschool teacher, I used to hear the most amazing insults- but also, some great undeserved compliments- like how great a singer I am - which is hysterical, cause I am HORRID!
