I like to take walks around the yard to check on my gardens. This year we have hardly gotten any spring sun, so things are slow to grow, as you can see from some of the pics. Everything needs SUN. If we can get a good stretch here, I think everything with grow like CRAZY. I am not sure if our cherry crop is a write- off this year- the two cherries in a pic above are all that seem to be healthy. I personally like all kinds of weather, so the rain doesn't really bother me normally- it is starting to by this time of year as it is hurting my "babies".
For those of you who fell asleep while reading these harrowing descriptions of my plant life, let me wake you up with the news that our BC Bud grown outdoors is in serious jeopardy of rotting at the roots if sunshine doesn't occur ASAP! Ok, I should clarify that we don't personally grow it or use it- it was just a tidbit I heard on the news yesterday. Apparently 15% of the pot grown in BC is outdoors, which doesn't sound like a lot, but it would certainly add up to a large amount of dollars! Sometimes crime don't pay!
In other news, we have a new member of the family: Meet "Tide Water Tiner", our brand new Siamese Fighting Fish.
Tide almost met his maker within the first 24 hours of arriving as Little M took it upon himself to get up early and feed the pets. Mr. Tiner is supposed to get about 2-3 of these pellets at a time.

your boy is ADORABLE... but he's really gotta work on that 'innocent' look. even a stranger in SoCal can see he's rather pleased with himself!
It looks like you live in paradise. Love the gate picture.
Oh MAN, I wanna live at your house! What an adorable garden and yard you have! Looks so green, cool, and refreshing! It's been 97 degrees or hotter for almost a month now with no measurable rain. Geez!!! I'm struggling to keep my garden wet!
have you tried singing to your plants...like "you are my sunshine"? i'm feeling your pain on the lack of sunshine girl!
and the overfeeder child you got there...too cute!
Love all the green!
"Grow babies grow!" I talk to my plants alot! hehehe
I just adore your yard.
And the fish is great!!! We're totally enjoying ours - though, we're a bit cheep. No live plants for us. *L*
Love your garden's. I am so far behind in yard and garden work.
Lovely garden! I do miss the green over here in the high desert. I think sunshine is on the way. Remember when my 3 yr old overfed the fish? Bad, bad news. I hope your outcome is better than ours was!
