Random Facts From the Year I Was Four.

I have noticed the random fact meme going round again. I decided to join in, but found that most of my facts were from a certain time in my life. I decided to go with it and here's the result:

I nearly killed myself when I was 4 (I thought I was drinking old beer out of a bottle in the shed- don't ask), but it was some kind of pesticide.

One of my older brothers and I got our tonsils out at the same time. I was 4 and he was 6. We had to stay in the hospital overnight and I was scared. The nurse found me in his bed, cuddled up with him.

When people asked me how I got my red hair, I would lisp " I ate too much tomato thoup", as it was my favorite food. I really believed it.

I once decided to pee under my bed for a few days in a row, instead of going upstairs to the bathroom. I just couldn't figure out how my mom knew! Moms just know everything! They also know that urine in carpet starts to stink after a few days.

When I played outside in the yard, I would freeze in different positions if a car drove by. I imagined them admiring the amazing red headed statue...

I would raid my mother's strawberries and eat to my heart's content. Whenever I have a really good, sun warmed strawberry, I am transported back to that patch.

Every afternoon, I would curl up on the couch behind my mom's knees while she napped (she was pregnant with my sis at the time) and amuse her with some heart felt hymn singing: "When The Roll is Called a Jonder" was one of my faves.

Good times!

I absolutely loved this post. Makes me wonder what was going on my girls' heads at four. I still think four is the perfect age. :)

I LLOOVVEE random!

crazy b/c I used to try and be a still-life statue too. Wonder if we ever fooled anyone. *laugh*

Do you ever see those live maniquinns at the mall? I did and man oh man, THAT'S what I wanted to be when I grew up.

There are still days I wish I could be one. though I doubt my kids would be fooled. *wink*

This is great.
I enjoyed the little peek into your past.
Love the part about the tomatoes and your hair.
We used to wonder how my baby sister got red hair when none of the rest of us had red hair. We used to think Mom got her from some where else when we were little. The strange thoughts that go through little kids hair.
I also love that you felt safe with your big brother and the picture of you sleeping with him is sweet.
I loved this. Thanks for sharing you with us.

I just wanted to thank you for your comment on my blog. I know I have stuff too - and I know that I've been waiting for someone to rescue me. I just wish this wasn't all so hard.

I am really enjoying your blog! I like posts that tell random things about people - the best way to get to know someone. You had a busy 4th year.

I loved picking strawberries out of my grandparent's garden. When I was 4 I was also picking scallions out of the garden - eating dirt and all.
