A Promise of Things to Come

It felt good to take a minute to sit on our deck today with my two littles and my niece.

The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and the sheets on the line were fluttering in the breeze. My hubby has been hanging up laundry for the last few days. (I must say that he doesn't normally do laundry, but was sweet enough to do his smelly boat clothes). Just like his using a hanky in our dating days, seeing him hang laundry just does something to me- sigh.

It got me thinking of garden veggies, fresh dirt, and flowers, hammocks, and sprinklers. It won't be long.

On a more serious note, for the last week, my heart is majorly stirring over something that has been laid on it. Something big, something we can only do with God. I am not ready to share, but prayer would be great. It is often hard for me to sort out Jane's thoughts and stubbornness from God's leading. The Skipper and I need to know what God's desire is, not ours.

First--love, luv, luv, the new picture of you in the sidebar. If it is not new--SORRY! But it is still great.

Looks like ya'll had a beautiful day. We have been having strange weather. Friday it was 90 and today it did not get out of the low 50's and tonight we will have a light freeze. Not complaining it is soooooo much better than the sauna of the 90's.
I saved the best to last to talk about.;)
Decisions and wanting to make sure you are hearing the voice of God is something that I know about--BIG TIME!Sometimes I feel like Keith and I are walking with blinders on.
But he said God spoke to him and I am going to support him. Because hey--the Bible is proof that God spoke to men. :)
I want to do this right--I am sure you do to. I don't know what else to tell you but to keep your heart right and lean into the wind. He is there to catch us or to keep us from falling.
I am learning that I do not have to be in charge. It takes off a little of the pressure.
I will be praying.

Big things?!? Oh, the suspense will get to me. No not really. *LOL* but may His voice be CLEAR.

Love that picture - once I could tear my eyes off the chocolate - of the glasses in the lounge chair. That's one cool dude.

You got it, girl. (prayer, I mean). I know exactly what you mean when you say that it's hard to differentiate between my thoughts and the Lords. Praying for clarity.

I love your house and yard. Do you have lots of land? It looks so peaceful and "country". I think it is actually against the city regs to even have a laundry line here! :-)

Can't wait to here what God is laying on your hearts.
