This weekend was spent playing seven games of soccer. Yesterday, our team had to play 4 games with 10 minute breaks in between. That is 4 straight hours of soccer, ladies. Of course, my main concern was when I got to eat- I managed to stuff a hot dog down my throat while I was subbing. Nothing gets in the way of me and my nourishment!!! This is me and my little sis after we won the championship game in the freezing rain. I thought it would be a fitting pic for St Patrick's Day, since our jerseys are green, but they are probably too wet to really tell!

On another topic, I have been convicted over the last few days about my attitude about my ex's wife. (see last post). Yes, she could be friendlier, and yes, it is obvious that she avoids me, but I get a certain amount of satisfaction about being the nicer one. I can act prideful of that and focus on her lack, and that is wrong of me. I need to just stuff it about her and remember that I am where I am by the grace of God!

Man, I hate it when I get all convicted about my pride! Pft, how irritating... ;)
Where my pride gets me into trouble is where it feeds into my competetive nature. Too often I take healthy competetion to completely ridiculous levels because of my pride.
I'm so proud of you having reached the level of being civil, though; it's not something I think I would handle as well, but then again, I guess you just never know how you'll handle a situation until you're rolled up in it, right?
You ROCK girl! For several reasons:
1-your mad soccer skillz
2-that awesome photo
3-excellent thoughts on the ex's wife.
I think it is so cool that you play soccer. What a woman!
That ought to keep you in shape.
Love the picture!
And as far as the new wife---seems like you have gotten some pretty cool gifts in exchange for the pain???(hope you understand what I mean)
But if God could use you to set her free--how cool.
If not--she is missing out on something special. :)
OH, how do I keep from making this comment a book?...
Well, I will say this...I really think that the reason she acts the way she does is because she KNOWS she did you wrong. I would venture to say that your being nice to her (or realizing that you are a nice person), will only make her feel worse (not that I feel sorry for her in the least) so she keeps the "junk" going.
It probably grates her that your ex-husband is cordial with you now, too. She knows first hand what he is capable of, so I think you are dead on that she is insecure. Maybe that's part of the consequence of her sin?
I dunno, I could be completely off, though.
However, I applaud you for listening to the Holy Spirit about the way you view things. It is so hard my friend, but you are blessing your enemy and *that* defeats the REAL enemy every single time.
You ROCK Jane, especially with your cool soccer picture! :)
I agree with all of the above. pride can really get you in a backwards way sometimes. what a crock!
so I've decided I'm just going to be mean to people I don't like and then I'll have honesty to be prideful about! Just kidding!
love the pic of you and your sis.
I'm very impressed by the soccer thing - I am so not athletic like that!
I'm more impressed by your willingness to listen to the Holy Spirit. Glad you are listening to Him and willing to humbly respond.
The fact that you run ON PURPOSE?
yah, that pretty much makes you a full on action hero in my book.
The fact that you're letting God work in your heart even for people WHO DO NOT DESERVE IT?
yah, that pretty much makes you a Girl after God's own heart.
how cool are YOU?
Funny how my world can jumble things up....we are starting soccer up this week...MY BOYS are, so when I started my post I thought to myself..."oh poor soccer mommy"!
WHAHOO...way to go. I am impressed it was y-o-u. Makes me wanna get out and go for a walk.
Hope God blesses you immensely for your honesty too. Ahhh, family and extended family and those who are somehow "part" of our family though really not....you sound like a very loving person!
