A Good Friday Beach Walk

Like today, Good Friday was a beautiful, sunny, crisp day. Together with some family, the kids and I walked a couple of blocks down to the beach for exercise, fresh air, and some crab hunting in the rocks. Everytime I walk through the forest trail and come upon this beach with the merry lighthouse in the distance, a feeling of serenity comes over me. (it may not last, depending on which child falls down the hill, gets poked in the face with a stick, needs to go the bathroom - "and it's NOT #1, Mom!, etc.)

I can just hear the ocean now! And I loved your serenity description...how true as a mom. Sometimes all we need is just that moment huh?

That photo on the rocks is awesome...hope you frame it!

Have a great day.

You do live in a beautiful place--I can feel the peace of it just looking at the pictures.
Love the picture of the lighthouse.
Could it be that that little moment of serene peace is what we will walk in forever in heaven? Kind of like God placed a little spot of heaven for us to step into. :)

My poor daughter had just twisted her ankle when we were posing for this pic. She was annoyed with me cause I was like" just smile quickly for the camera and THEN I will check your ankle out!"

Wow, beautiful. I love living somewhere close to a good walk! Unfortunately, we currently have to drive for those.

I've been in beautiful BC many times. My grandmother used to live in Victoria and now lives near Langley (Abbotsford?? Not sure). I have plenty of family in that area. Love it.

WOW, the place is beautiful. I live 4 hours from the Gulf Coast. I love the beach. To live that close has to be nice and then to have a lighthouse that you can just look at anytime you want. WOW!! The scenery looks so peaceful and nice. You are lucky!
Have a wonderful week!
