This Will Make You Feel Better:
My brother is an actor and is around a lot of beautiful people. I allow myself to feel intimidated by these people, even though they are usually very friendly and nice. One time a few years ago I was sharing this with my brother, referring to his beautiful girlfriend. I said that I didn't know what to talk to her about as my life seemed so regular and boring compared to her's. He looked at me and said "YOu have the life she wants." Really? Hmmm. How about that. That gave me pause for thought. NOt that I don't like my life, but sometimes when I am around people who don't have kids and have such an entirely different lifestyle than me, I don't know what to share about mine. Anyways, I am getting to the part that will make you feel better about yourself- at the expense of myself looking like an idiot! My brother was over last week, as they were filming a movie nearby and brought over an actress that night to our place for dinner. She was very sweet and engaging, and pretty of course! I was feeling really comfortable, ignoring the fact that I had not had a chance to shower that morning, had crammed a hat on my head, and was wearing my sunglasses because my eyes were still healing and were really stinging. I was handling all these things fine and telling myself that just because I had 4 kids and was not wearing make up, and am a stay at home mom doesn't make me necessarily unglamourous or less attractive....until- wait for it... my husband leaned over and subtily pulled a DANGLING BOOGER off my nostril that had been hanging there for goodness knows how long!!! WHY, WHY, WHY, WHY???????????

OH NO! that totally sounds like something that would happen to me.
I'm sure whoever your brother is bringing to your home has been very well prepared. They do have to face the little J man, so I;m sure they are ready for anything, including boogers, though maybe not from the mom!
Noooooooo!
Girl I feel for you.
I'm not thinking that she wants to be like you in that way though. If it was the same actress she may have just changed her mind.;)
Oh, that's terrible. I'll have to share my "accidental mooning episode" with you some day. It would make you fell better. Promise.
BTW, I totally LOVE YOU! Your comment on my post made my week! I too wish you could come to gymnastics with me! ~Karlie
Oh no. That must have been terrible.
That would have been very humbling. and one of those moments where I'd have to remind myself every few moments of who I am in Christ. *LOL* It could have happened to me, except my hubby would have handed me a tissue instead. *L* At least your hubby loves you that much!!
Oh, no! I'm so proud of you for having been feeling good and comfortable, though! I would have made you feel better... I seem to have one nose hair that always gets "Stuff" stuck to it.
I had to delete the comment above because it didn't make any sense! Here's what I was trying to say:
No no no! At least your hubby loves you enough to do that! Maybe the actress was thinking how totally cool you were to handle a situation like that (that could happen to anybody).
Make sense now?
You can't even imagine the sisterly feelings I had toward you when I realized you used "Dangling Booger" in a blog post. I think I just might send you a Christmas present this year.
Now that I've read the newspaper article on your bro and I saw who the actress in the film is I'm wondering who he brought to your house. It wasn't the overexposed tabloid girl, was it? Oh my gosh, I'd die. I'm hoping it was a regular girl though, someone more...out of the spotlight.
