The Results are In!
I had an assessment at boot camp today. I have been attending since the last week of August. You would think I would be bikini ready by now. Nope. I thought that I would be much smaller by now, but not so. I vowed to cut out sugar a couple days ago when my daughter and I were talking about caring for our bodies, so now maybe I will fit my old clothes soon. I did lose some inches though! Drumroll... over an inch and a half in my..... CHEST! Yikes! Seriously, this is the last place I need to lose weight from. I lost a little from my waist and hips too, so maybe I am losing from the top down. I am not trying to get skinny, but man, I have been working hard to get fit. The area where I have improved the most is in my running- which I am not a particular fan of in the first place. I run to chase a soccer ball, but to just run, no thanks, not my fave. Today I almost beat the time of my first run by one minute, so I am proud of that. Anyways, enough bragging. Just wanted to give an update on the results of my blood, sweat, and tears.

Jane you're doing great. You looked good in your bathing suit yeaterday, which is so much more than the rest of us could say.
Also, I saw Amy yesterday and asked if she had her pants on the right way! We had a good laugh. Oh the poor girl...

Firstly that you have attempted such an event, and secondly that you have kept to it for so long!
I am sure if others had to judge your bod, they would be able to see a good result! Remember the old cliche..... Rome wasn't built in a day! You inspire me girlfriend! Great on you!

I agree with you. I only want to run if I'm chased. But I would probably not last long as I'm out of shape.
I laughed when I read about your weight loss. I never loose weight there -- I wish I would. The last time I lost any sizeable amount of weight - I lost it in my FEET!! Yes. I had to buy a smaller size shoe...until I gained all my weight back plus some. hmm... I need to get fit.
My brother and I were talking about what I need to do to strengthen my "core" - and pointed out - "Ya know, you never loose weight where you plan. You just loose weight and it might not be where you want it."
Which I knew - but facing the fact that I could have really tiny feet and a innertube belly kind of bummed me out - I think I'll go eat candy with Cindy. *LOL*

Yep. For some odd reason, the lbs always seem to fly off the ol'...*clearing throat*...chest area. hee hee

My MIL stopped sugar...and lost 40 lbs.
admittedly, I like the stuff too much.
Take heart...the first place I lose weight is my chest and that's the last place I gain it too! Why, oh, why?
Sugar is a hard one to give up, but keep plogging along. Once you get used to less sugar, you will desire it less and less.

That's so great! You might be losing more slowly than you had hoped, but that's the weight that will stay off. Good for you. :-)
