What Qualities Do You Think a Prime Minister Needs to a Have?

The above question was in our devotional last night. Here is what some of our kids answered:

A, age 11: "Kindness, goodness, and other fruits of the spirit."

K, age 8: "yeah, the fruits of the spirit and stuff like that."

J, age 4: "smart, tall, and know where he is going!"

Right on! I'll add dark and handsome as they already covered the important stuff!

Actually, our prime minister at present is a Christian, so as you can imagine, the media trashes him, and he gets a hard time over his personal beliefs. There is an election bending sometime soon, as right now it is a minority government. My country of Canada needs prayer as it seems we are getting more and more liberal in general. That seems to translate to the loss of many Godly values. As a woman I know says, "Look out, and you will be distressed, look in and you will be depressed, look up and you will be IMPRESSED!" I am thankful that even when the majority seem to want to remove God from this country, He is still sovereign.

We have the same problems here. From removing the ten commandments from the court room yo taking someone to court because a picture of Jesus in public. It seems we have become the joke most times. But these things were promised--I am not surprised.
Good for you with the family devotions.
So ya'll are doing something good.

Isn't it good to know that even with all the scary stuff happening here...there are millions of Christians in this country believing and praying for Canada. :-)

If I asked my kids this same question they would most likely reply "What's a Prime Minister?" Ah Canada... so close, yet so far away. ~Karlie

Sounds a lot like the USA, or maybe we're even worse. Sometimes, it's downright scary! Love the quote!
