It was assessment day at boot camp this morning. I just started last week, so it was more for those who have been going longer, but I dived in anyways and did my best. We had to time ourselves in push ups and sit ups. I got 30 push ups in one minute and 53 crunches. I ran a km in 6 minutes and 6 seconds ( that is about .62 of a mile). It is certainly not an amazing time, but I was happy with it. The point is that I should improve and keep getting a personal best each time. I was running at about the same pace with a woman who I thought was chubby, but after I discovered that she is actually pregnant. She beat me. AND she was unhappy with her time. I thought that was kinda funny later, when I was no longer sucking wind. Oh, this is for Sharon: I did not lose inches as it is too soon. If anything, I am measuring slightly bigger as you build your muscle first and THEN lose the fat- that is what they told me anyways. They better not be lying!!!

Congrats to you on such a grand and healthy effort. I'm not exactly a crunch girl; and middle age has been so unkind to my mid-section. Guess I'll learn to live with it:-)

blessings on your weekend,
Vicki
