I Think My Van Stinks.
Yes, well I am pretty sure it does actually. Time to get the shop vac out tomorrow and go at 'er. Why do I feel the need to clean the van? You would think the smell of over ripe apples and sweaty soccer gear would be enough, but with my crazy schedule, it isn't high on the priority list. The reason I am getting it all spiffy is that several friends and myself are driving up to some cabins on a little lake about an hour away for our annual get away. Yes, Cindy, it involves chocolate- a Death By Chocolate Murder Mystery night actually. The setting for the mystery takes place at a spa (not a real one, but we are making one of the cabins like one), so everyone is supposed to bring spa stuff to pamper ourselves with. I have to admit that I am not really a girly girl, so the thought of doing someone's toes has me cringing. Mine will have people cringing in horror as I have just recently lost my two big toe nails due to soccer. (too much info, I know). I do like the thought of hanging out in my pajamas and slippers with a funky colored facial mask though. I have no idea what to expect from this murder night, but lets hope it doesn't take long to get to the dessert portion of the evening. The rest of the time will be spent talking, snacking, hiking, canoeing, talking, laughing, giggling, talking, singing worship songs, doing devotionals together, sharing, praying, eating awesome meals, snacking, talking, etc- you get the picture. We are in a beautiful setting with mountains, the lake, and the ocean a short walk away. I have been looking forward to this all year, and can't believe that we head off tomorrow. It couldn't come at a better time as I could really use some spiritual, mental, and emotional refreshment. I will be back...with pictures.
