Maybe that is why I love my gardens so much. I am not Super Green Thumb Lady, or anything, but I get a lot of joy out of planning, planting, and especially seeing my garden flourish. It is rewarding to have projects like that. I sneak out for walks around the yard to see what is blooming each day. Today I snuck out with a camera and have some pics to share with you.

My dear friends that are visiting us have been doing odd jobs around the place. Here is my fave thing that my friend's hubby did:
Remember this:

Now we have this!

I know I need to switch my blue pots to something reddish, as Kathleen has said. I mentioned that to my hubby and he looked at me like I had 2 heads when I explained that the pots we have don't "POP" against the blue door now. I guess I will just find a good sale and arrive home with them one day...
So these are some simple things that make my heart hum a merry tune, despite fecal matter and snotty noses. ( I saw my 4 year old sneeze onto a toy today and then lick it off! Why don't I just end my post at the pretty pics instead of telling you these disgusting things. Am I immature or just gross, or what? It amuses me, I'm sorry, but it does!).
What about you, what did you see today that felt like a little nod from God just for you?

Well, you know how easily amused I am by the grossness of my kids so I read this without even flinching!
I totally have garden envy. It looks so peacefull and inviting and un-trampled by little feet. I'm sure if I went to all that trouble the kids would trample right through it when I turned my back.
And the door....the door looks amazing! What great friends!
Love the blue door. It is awesome!
Your garden is gorgeous!! Thanks for sharing with us..:)
I need more of an outside sanctuary, but it is soooo hot here!
Your door looks awesome!!! So did you figure out who pooped on the diaper?
One time years ago I was shopping at a home reno store with my mom. We were in the sink and toilet department, where someone decided they needed to use the facilities. Seriously. The display toilet! Pooped in!! Grooooosssss!
The door looks great!!
I think kids think "If it came out of my head it must be safe." Otherwise they wouldn't keep sticking their fingers in their noses and then their mouths. :-)
I totally understand your day. TOTALLY. Wish I could give you a quip to make you feel better, but I'm not sure what I'd choose from. *L* Totally understand though.
Lovely pics! What was my God nod for the day? Well, he did give me a mini Tootsie roll. Instant HAPPINESS! I'm really quite easy to please. ~Karlie
I love you!
Sometimes you just need to pop( no I did not say poop)in on a blog and see a little reality. :)
I'm thinking I would say you have a green thumb. I used to spend a lot of time in the yard--but I don't think I want to make that investment while we are in this rental.
Today I felt like God smiled on me when I got on line. I am having some problems with my wireless. But, I wanted to get on and say, see ya latter to my girls. So when I plugged in and the internet popped up--He smiled at me. He is good that way.
I'll check in some while I am gone.
Breath deep--and enjoy the beautiful colors in your yard that God is providing for you.
Talk to ya later.
Jane, you have a beautiful garden. It is so green there! I miss the green where I live right now. You know the Rich Mullins' song "The Color Green" - one of my all time favorites.

I wish I had friends who would come and do magic for me around my house! Everything looks beautiful!
Love the door!
Nod from God today??? You read my post; you know my day. Even if He gave me one, i was too grumpy to see it.
