Today the person I admire the most was born, 59 years ago. I can not tell you how much I love and respect my mom, even though there have been times she probably couldn't tell- those times I deeply regret! She has a quiet, gentle spirit, desiring to follow her Lord, who is evident in her to all. At the same time, I have seen her rise up against injustice, rally in her children's corner and show incredible strength. Life hasn't been easy for my mom, but she took those lemons and made lemonade. Out of her trials the Lord developed tremendous gift of grace in her, as well as a great sense of humour.
Her grandchildren know, just as I do, that they will always find a safe place and an irreplacable cheerleader in their corner while Gramma is there. She has covered us all in prayer and I am convinced that it has made a tremendous difference in the outcome of our lives. To know that you grew up with a mother who loved being a mom was, and still is, is a tremendous gift that I know some of you did not experience. I know it was a privilege and I feel very blessed.
Happy Birthday Mom!

Awww, what a sweet daughter you are! I'll have to phone your mom later to say hello and HB.
What a beautiful tribute! I pray I can be that kind of mom to my girls.
That was a beautiful tribute to your Mom. It's nice to read things like this because hopefully our kids will say things like that about us...
Happy birthday to your mom.
You are blessed, indeed, and it's so great that you know you are!

That was SO beautiful to read! I feel the same way about my mom, but as i read other bloggers posts, I realize we are the lucky ones... not everyone can say such wonderful things about their moms. Your post reminded me to not take my own mother for granted. Thank you. ~Karlie
Happy Birthday to a Ruby of a woman.
Sounds like she has a little Proverbs 31 going on!
