Works For Me Wednesday

I was looking at my walls last week and feeling discouraged by all the fingerprints and grime that don't seem to come off- #1 because I don't have time to wash them, and #2, when I do attempt it, they don't seem to wash very clean. I phoned up a couple of friends and suggested cleaning swaps, so tonight was the first one. At my house! 4 of us washed walls for an hour and a bit and got the whole main floor done. The walls look great. We used borax and dish detergent in warm water and washed with sponges from the floor up. You would think that this would not make sense, but if you drip down onto a dirty wall, it streaks. The time went very quickly as we chatted and laughed, all the while busily wiping. Nest week it will be someone else's turn. We decided that the host could choose what our job would be. One of the women wants us to dig fence post holes! What? Oh well, I am game.

So, get a few friends and have some productive fun!

Great idea! I think the fellowship would really help make the time pass quickly and the job seem less overwhelming.

I love that idea! I'd probably want to clean my house before I had friends come to help me clean my house. I need to get over that!!

growing up on a farm and doing group projects around the farm, garden and kitchen is how I remember my childhood. Community and relationships is the way God made us... I love that you have three friends that are willing to join in the fun.

OK, let me get this straight. You were discouraged by the grease and fingerprints on YOUR wall??? Was that before or after you saw the pictures of MY wall? ;o)
I'll have to give Borax a try. I've already tried a wet rag, soap and water, Windex, and the Magic Eraser. The only thing coming off is the wall color.
Stinky blue chalk.
And LOL on your thought. My daughter is so in your head. I could hear her say that!
Peace and Laughter,
Cristina

What a great idea! Cleaning....or any project is always more fun, and definitely quicker, than doing it alone.

Have fun with those fence posts!
