Brace Yourself!

Ok- time for a little fun. Here is me trying on my "fit" pants. I don't want to say "skinny" pants, as my goal is not to be "skinny". When I could fit these pants I was toned and in good shape. I am not in horrible shape right now, but could stand to lose 15 lbs, (probably 20). I vowed not to buy new clothes till I fit my old ones. I don't care if these pants aren't wearable in public, as long as I can button them up, I will be happy. If I fit these pants, I will fit my other clothes that I have been hanging on to. So, here's the deal- the button on these 501's is 7 inches (!!!) from the button hole. I don't need to lose 7 inches in my waist for them to fit, but if I lost a few inches on my thighs, bum, and waist, I think that would do the trick. Now that I have posted this for all to see, I am hoping that my pride and self respect kicks in and that I can do the following:

1) no sugar or refined foods (white flour, etc) We eat brown rice and whole wheat flour anyways, but I have gotta stay away from homemade choc chip cookies!

2) lemon water, cranberry water throughout day- big glass of lemon water in morning.

3) exercise 5 times a week ( this I like to do- it is just a time thing)

4) no foods after 8 pm, except tea and popcorn.

That is all I can think of right now- not rocket science here- I just have to say NO to my temptations. I don't understand these women who say they stay skinny by chasing around their kids! I have four active children but it doesn't work for me! I always have time to eat!

Anyone else want to join me? You can make up your own list of how you are going to do it. I will cheer you on! I would like to see a noticeable change in my body by the end of May, as I am going to a wedding then. I will update you on this in two weeks.

Hi Halfmoon girl, thank you for blessing me with your words on my blog regarding my daughter. yes definitely, I listen to "I Can Only Imagine" also, and I also really like "Homesick" by Mercy Me, which is on another blog post dated January 14.

I so need to be doing what you are with regard to the weight, but it will take me much longer than you unfortunately. I was on steroids many years for my lupus which didn't help. (sigh) I was trying to think how you make you cranberry water, or is there a way to purchase it already with cranberry? If so, what is the brand name? And for your lemon water, you use bottled water and just add a lemon slice in it? Please let me in on your tips and tricks when you have a free moment. ;) Thank you again, and hope you will continue to stop by often, as I will also. Your children are precious.

Hugs,
Bonnie
