I saw on Linda's blog, that she was using some moisturizing cream that created a gradual tan. Hmmm, never mind that she has a totally different complexion than me- sometimes us red headed, freckled people with snow white skin like a little color too. My face usually becomes one big freckle by the end of the summer and I have a perfect farmer's tan as I am most often in shorts and a t shirt/tank top. This leaves some really unflattering tan lines when wearing a bathing suit...freckled and tanned/slightly red on arms, face, neck, and about 3 inches above the knees- white, pasty and slightly lavender everywhere else.... Yep, just what every woman wants- have your lesser attractive parts screaming white as you sidle down to the water...
So, last night as I was in the store looking for sunscreen and saw moisturizer that gradually gives some color, I thought, well, Linda uses it( ok, it wasn't the exact product she bought), and if they can clone things now, they must have improve tanning cream since my last horrible experience (which involved pumpkin palms), right??? Apparently not. After little while after applying it, I tried on a dress given to me and showed my husband. His first comment was "ummm...it smells funny." I replied "Actually, I think it is my new cream." When I held up my arm to his nose, he emphatically said, "oh yah, that's it!" This morning I woke up to orangeness- not a shocking orange, but orangey palms, orangey knees, and orangey feet, and let me just say that it doesn't loook so great on a mid section that has stretched over 4 pregnancies. TMI- yah, it was for me too. Better to just stick with the color God gave me, I guess.

Thanks for the laugh. :-)
I have been there!
I am really trying to protect my skin these days....so I have tried the products too.
I did go to one of the places where you step into a booth and the spray on a tan...didn't do too bad...but there is nothing that measures up to what the son can do.
Oh well....we will just be members of the farmer tan club. ;)
And isn't it great that it will wear off soon? :)
