This is a Bird Lesson Gone Wrong...

So, 6 yr old J and I are researching the Stellar Jay, which is the provincial bird of our province (British Columbia- which is beautiful, and you should come see it.) All was good, he was coloring a pic of a Stellar's Jay to use as a cover page to a lap book. Seeing as how he was working independently, I went ahead and started reorganizing the kitchen. I knew that he was done and had switched to drawing dinosaurs,... but I thought I better check on him once I heard him giggling about a "mommy" T rex. It was, you know, that kind of giggle...

I jokingly sent him to the "principal" who was mending prawn traps outside, but that authority figure wasn't a lot of help, as he burst into laughter. He did suggest that perhaps the anatomically correct drawing could be camoflauged by making it into a polka dotted dinosaur?

LOL! Reminds me of a picture my youngest brother drew of us when DH & I were dating. It was a stick man and a stick woman with oval bodies - and stick and dot "parts" to boot. I still have it, when he gets married I'll have to pull it out and show it to him and his bride :)

Oh that is too funny!
It doesn't matter how old they are...the male species will always be visual. :)

And yes, your mans reaction would have been the same as my husbands. How funny.
