Out of the Mouth of Babes.

The 2 littlest and I went to my gramma's today for a visit. We parked right next to a matching mini van. I heard Little M say to J, "Hey, two wans de same!" ("Hey, two vans the same!" for those of you who don't speak preschooler). J, the ever knowledgeable 5 year old brother turned and casually stated "Yah, but ours is always the dirtiest one."

Sigh. (ok, I mostly thought it was funny) Keeping my exterior clean is not a priority in my life right now. Keeping the interior of our mini van clean isn't a priority now either! I try to keep it garbage free, and am saying "pick up the books. Don't step on books!", but other than that, I just don't have time to have a spotless interior. To me, it is just life as a big family who heads out frequently to soccer, piano, church, hockey, the beach, etc, etc. One day it will just be the Skip and I to make a mess, and I KNOW that a part of me will miss having a vanful of kidlings.

I had some candles in the back to deliver to friends, so at least my van smells like vanilla now instead of musty soccer field turf/ banana peel. The Skipper suggested it would be cleaner if I didn't allow the kids to eat in it. That was beyond comprehension for me, whereas he has made a no food rule in the vehicle he usually drives. I always pack snacks for my forever starving kids. We eat on the go a lot. What about you? Messy vehicle or clean? Food or no food?

my husband once heard that you can tell what a person's house might be like by the looks inside their car. oh boy am i in BIG trouble!

i agree on feeding kids in the car...otherwise they might start eating the vinyl!

Have you seen the inside of my van? It's almost as bad as Donna's!

LOL, my car is messy :) I try to keep the major trash out, but we eat in the car alot. Every Sunday morning, breakfast is eaten in the car - that equals alot of breadcrumbs, etc.

That is funny. My car is always a wreck and I feel like I clean it out ALL THE TIME. My husbands truck is spotless. Unfortunately, my car does reflect my house.

Our van is messy.
I don't live in my van (tho, sometimes it feels like it) ...but we do eat there.
Snacks are important to my sanity.
*LOL*

Yes, to food.....always.
As far as the mess.....it just depends on what kind of mood I am in. The other day I got in and looked in the back seat and there were three jackets. You know you put one on in the morning and by afternoon it is too warm to wear them. That is understandable messiness.....did I mention the jackets were mine. And as for the food Julia found a bag of french fries in the back seat Sunday. And did I mention that there were french fries in the bag which means the person who got them did not eat them all. And yes, they were mine too. Like I said....I didn't eat them all. :)
