Snippets of Christmas Morning

Here is A and K goof-balling. K LOVES this book-Seriously Sick Bible Stuff by Ed Strauss- he has been bringing it into the van while we drive around and reading his favorite parts to his sister : "Hey, A, did you know that Herod Agrippa died because his guts got infested with intestinal round worms?" She promptly squeals, scolds, and turns up her new mp3 player. The cool thing about this book is that it gives the Biblical references, and K has been hauling around his new Bible and looking up all the verses himself. He is quite intrigued by the subject matter. Whatever gets him time in the Word is good, as far as I am concerned.



Here is the above mentioned mp3 player. A is over the moon about this. We are not a very technologically advanced family, so this is big for her. I hear the hot techie item this year was something called a Sand something, but don't tell her that.



J's face almost broke, he was grinning so big when he unwrapped his Baby Alive. He has been packing her around in the diaper bag that his sister gave him to accompany her.



Little M was super grumpy during present opening time as he was up half the night with his sore leg, so no shots of him unwrapping. Here he after enjoying the pancakes that I made on my new humungous griddle- along with homemade blackberry syrup from an industrious friend. Yum!



For those of you who asked, here is the cast all decorated. I started out having everyone signing their names and drawing a cute little pic, but then Little M got a hold of the felts himself and I didn't have the heart to take them away. This cast is just about trashed. I need to get it replaced tomorrow. Then we can create a new masterpiece.
