6 years ago today, right about now- on a beautiful summer evening, my husband and I were married. My nieces and nephews went down the aisle first, scattering petals and after them came my two children, ages 5 and 2, hand in hand. We all had so much fun- dancing under the stars and having a crab feast at midnight, but the best part was my new husband's shining face and the acknowledgement from the Lord that this was it. As my dad put it nicely that night, I had taken a detour- meaning I had done things my own way and not chosen my first husband well. God has blessed me so much in my second marriage- it still takes work, even when you are married to the right person- but I am so thankful that God restored my heart and my faith in love. He gave me so much more than I ever thought I deserved.

Tonight we couldn't get a babysitter and we are kinda exhausted from being away, so we got a bunch of appy's out of the freezer section of the grocery store and a good movie (hopefully). It is raining and I am looking forward to getting into my flannels and cuddling with my sweetie.

I wanted to say thanks for stopping by my blog and congratulations on your anniversary. Thank God for second chances. I called off an engagement when I was in college and it was the best decision I ever made. I couldn't imagine life without the husband I have!
