Today I am thankful for simple things: the sun is out, my flowers are blooming, my veggie garden growing, etc. My 2 oldest are at a nature school today. Our 4 year old got to go the last two days, but was too worn out to go again today. I went yesterday and was reminded what a world class center it is. We have homeschool parents who are biologists who give presentations during the week, as well as a number of other nature experts and artists who come in to share their expertises and talents. The kids are having a great time making paper, bird houses, animal track molds, building eco systems for snakes, lizards, tadpoles, etc. They are also enjoying being with lots of other homelearners.

These are pics of the lagoon at the center. We sat here and drew some nature sketches. Later the kids found 6 garter snakes in this same spot. I thanked the Lord I hadn't seen any when i was down there. I hate those evil creatures! I would not have looked very naturey while running away screaming.

I wish my boys wanted to go. They weren't impressed with it last time. They both found it to Creekerish. Hmm, have they been listening to their dad again?

That is the thing- I am NOT a girly-girl! I just hate snakes- I hate that I am all squeamish, but I am!
