I decided to make the best of it and made a pile for donation and sorted everything out. My sheets are in back in sets for the time being- until the next fort session! No, i don't have a door or trim on the closet- we have a LOT of finishing to do!

Becasue I had already asked Mr J to not bring out more blankets, I put him on a time out for a while. Tomorrow I will show you what he did while he was supposed to be silently reflecting on his choices!

That looks lke some kind of exotic hardwood floor in your hallway. Ipe? Mahogany? Plywood?
That is Pacific Rain forest natural plywood, with a splotch or two of drywall compound and paint. Not everyone has this in their home. I can tell you more details on how to get the look if you'd like. It is very child friendly!
Fort building fun...amazing what a sheet or blanket can do for occupying little ones.
I'm forced to clean over here, too. It's bad, really bad...

lol.. that is usually how i end up cleaning up as well..
i suppose i should the thank the wild things for "motivating" me.. :o)
"forced to clean" is probably a motto of moms every where. I'm forced to vacuum every time Mini-E pours goldfish on the floor and then --stomps-- I mean Dances on them.
I love the fort. My kids would build more if we had more building space.
In our last house I lived for about 6 months with a bathroom without a door and we had only one small closet in the whole house. I know what it is like to live unfinished.
I have closets now and I felt like I had won some type of reward.
It is great having a husband who can do anything--the down fall--sometimes you get put at the end of the list.
How are you doing?
Thinking about you today and praying God gives you a little something special --so you know without a shadow of a doubt that He is looking lovingly into your face.
How is your heart?
