My Dreams

Sharon over at Sit With Me Awhile tagged me for this meme- this is not a hard one, but it has had me thinking over it for a while. I am supposed to share my dreams, things that I am believing on God for. That confuses me a bit, because I think some of the things I have been thinking about are pure fantasy, not something that will ever happen, or that I even need to happen. For example, I fantasize occasionally about how great it would to be of African- American nationality and to be able to belt out gospel songs on stage (like Mandesa) for just one night! I fantasize about being able to wash my car in a bikini and look great doing it- now, would I actually do this even if I had a great body, no, but I would just like to look great enough to be able to do that! See, Sharon, your post was much deeper than this. I am getting to some of those real dreams I have...

1) to have my children would walk with the Lord- that they would recognize their value to God and not try to fill in any gaps with things not of Him. That they would live a passionate life for Him. I guess this would be a dream for my life as well.
2) that my children would choose their spouses wisely

3) lots of grandbabies to play with

4) I would be a safe harbour for my husband, not a dripping faucet

5) I would develop a softer heart for the Lord

6) I will hear Jesus say, Well done. See right now, I have a hard time picturing Him saying that as I still struggle with the whole concept of His grace for me.

Some more fun ones:

- I picture my hubby and I traveling when our kids are grown

- I want to be in shape again- to be able to run and slam the soccer ball in the net consistently

- That we would still be in the house we have built- that it would be completed, and a relaxing, welcoming place to be, with beautiful, welcoming flower gardens, etc.

I could go on and on, but this is just a glimpse at my heart. Will you share yours with us? If you want to play, let me know! What are your dreams?

Good job!
I had to laugh at the "wash the car in a Bikini". Too funny.
I'm thinking this would be a little too distracting for my husband. But I would like to look good in one. I think my two c-sections ruled this one out for me.
I also want to be in a house that is a welcoming place.
Great list!
