I zipped into the library and did a high speed search for books for myself. I have been having a hard time finding any thing good to read. I need to request some of the novels I have seen some of you recommend. Anyhoo, I was determined to come out with something, so this is what I got:
Nail Biter: A Home Repair is Homicide mystery by Sarah Graves- grabbed this off the desk as I was checking out. It didn't look raunchy, so I will have to see...
Gardening With Native Plants of the Pacific Northwest by Arthur R. Kruckeberg
100 Easy to Grow Native Plants by Lorraine Johnson
Solid to the Core by Janique Farand- Taylor (a pilates book)
Pilates on the Ball by Colleen Craig (If I taped myself trying to do these moves, I could easily win the Grand Prize on America's Funniest Home Videos!)
Lose Your Mummy Tummy by Julie Tupler
I had to get the last one as the title amused me and I want to get rid of that divot (sp?) under my belly button where my skin is stretched out. Losing weight after my other pregnancies helped. I made a note to self as I stood at the check out desk NOT to have this book become overdue. I live in a small town and do not want to be standing in front of my old highschool crush or my kid's soccer coach when the librarian announces that I have .50 owing on Lose Your Mommy Tummy! The forward is by Elle McPherson, who I think is beautiful, but don't relate too. She is thankful to the author as her program helped her "snap" back into shape after her baby. BARF! Makes me want to SNAP her myself when I read that.
I may just read all these books in the bath instead of actually incorporating them into my routine. I will let you know...

Where do you keep you mummy tummy? I have never seen it. The book sounds good though, maybe I should check it out.
About your comment, I think a lawn tractor is fine if you have that much lawn. We have a dinky .25 acre lot and probably only a quarter to a third of that is actual lawn. I just don't see the sense in gassing up a mower for that. But it's true, a lot of environmental practices have to do with common sense. I like your native plant book choices! Again, this is less because I'm an environmentalist and more because I'm lazy.If a plant can't take care of itself in my yard, it's doomed. ;o)
