7 Random Things About Myself

I was tagged for this by Sharon. Ok, random...let's see. I should think of some really strange things, but I don't necessarily want you all to think I am a freak....hmmm, here goes:

1) I have a massive amount of freckles- only where the sun shines. My mom told me they would disappear by age 12. I get more every year, and EVERY summer I hear, "wow, you been in the sun, haven't you. Pretty soon your freckles will meld into one big one and you will have a really dark tan...BLAH, BLAH, BLAH."

2) Horatio from CSI Miami drives me insane. He talks strange, gets gorgeous women, and drives a Hummer around the city- totally unrealistic! I cannot help myself from pointing out these facts to my husband when he views it.

3) I make really good, healthy pancakes, or flapjacks, as they are known here in Canada. I am known as the "Pancake Queen" by my friends.

4) I have large hands and feet. I have the exact same size appendages as my gramma, who was 5 foot 10, except I am 5 foot 5. My sister and mom have little hands and feet. I have a pair of red shoes that my sis calls my Ronald McDonald shoes.

5) I hate snakes. Absolutely terrified. I think that they are evil. When I was about 7 mos pregnant with my 3rd, my two oldest chased me around the car repeatedly with a garter snake while I screamed and screamed. What WAS funny was my neighbour who was trying to be so polite and pretend he didn't notice as he stood right there and watered his lawn.

6) My kids' births were like reunions. Lots of family and friends. Even my dad and brother with one of them. I remember wondering where they came from but at that point couldn't have cared less. I remember getting a little annoyed when my audience would snicker at my bovine sounding noises.

7) My idea of a great break is a bath, a cup of tea, and a good book-sometimes I even eat popcorn in there as well.

Well, there you are. Now for 7 others to tag:
Kathleen
Juggling Paynes
Comfy Denim
Tricia
Monkey Giggles
Gayle ( I just found her)
Fee

It's 1 a.m. and I can't sleep, so I had to tell you that I am also a Pancake Queen who makes very healthy pancakes ♡ - several varieties but all involve tossing in some flaxmeal. And I LOVE whole wheat pastry flour.

I love number four.
I have to say that in my family all my brothers and sister got small noses---i did not.
Don't know what happened but I got big feet too.
And I do have a thing for shoes.
It is a good thing that I am not into the expensive ones.

Gosh. Everything about me is random...but I'll try to figure out 7.

I may have to call Thoughtfulmom. Maybe that's it - maybe a new meme would be "What are 7 weird/random/cool/quirky/whatever things about you from a friends perspective?"

*LOL*

Yum, Pancakes! And, I really want to see a picture of those red shoes!

Count me in for this meme. Sounds like fun!

p.s your link to my blog isn't working but I had a great time visiting your other friends. It's so fun to find new people with similar interests.

Hey- I made some errors in linking, so I had Fee and Gayle's links wrong- they are now correct, so go visit them if you'd like. They are both cool homeschooling moms with 4 children, like me!

Let's just be clear- i never invited my dad and bro in. They just ended up by my head cheering me on in an awkward, yet very sweet manner. I was like "Whatever. If you want to subject yourself to this, be my guest!"

LOL! I always had my parents at my births. If it weren't for my dad, it might have taken another hour to push out my first. After 25 hours of unmedicated labor, I don't think I would have noticed if the Pope had walked in!
I did the tag, you can check on my weird self!

Peace and Laughter,
Cristina

This was so great! When I was in labor with my third (on Christmas Day!), my family just came over and brought the hors d'oeuvres with them! LOL I remember my auntie asking me if I wanted some fruit and chocolate fondue, or maybe a mini spring roll, while I panted through a contraction. Good memories...now... :-)

Okay - I finally narrowed down to 7. and, Btw, I don't like Horatio either - or the blond girl (can't think of her name....) So we don't watch that show much at all.

On the flip side, I like CSI: NY
