Let's Go Fly a Kite, Up to the Highest Height, or at least try not to crash it into the truck!

Well, we had a smooth running school morning- up until I realized that my kids hadn't practiced piano over Spring Break and their lessons are today- anyhoo, back to when I was feeling happy and contented about my success as a homeschooling parent: nothing profound happened but we were outside enjoying the sunshine ( it has rained about 25 days this month). My 7 yr old brought out his kite and we ran around flying that as it was a gusty morning. I was thrilled that this could relate to my dd's forces unit we are studying ( LIFT is when air moves an object by getting underneath it). It is great to ditch the books and make these concepts real by doing things we love!

We have a number of kites too, which the boys will drag out from time to time.
Just so you know, bill wasn't being completely selfless this morning getting my milk - he wanted me to make HIM a coffee too!
